Eileen (Bender) Walton

     Eileen L. (Bender) Walton, 82, of Locust Run, passed away Saturday, Sept. 5, 2026, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

     She was born April 25, 1944, in Ickesburg, Perry County.

     Eileen graduated from West Perry High School and worked for the Department of Human Services.

     She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, taking care of her dogs, reading, and especially spending time with her family.

     She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren C. “Butch” Walton on Nov. 8, 2016 and her mother, Janet Yingling.

     She is survived by two sons, Scott Walton and Travis Walton, one sister, Barbara Smith, one granddaughter, Brooke Walton, and several nieces and nephews.

     There will be a graveside service at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept.10 at Union Cemetery, Mifflintown, with Pastor Dan Rockwell officiating. If you wish to be seated for the service, please bring a chair. There will be no public viewing.
