Edward "Peanut" Bruce Beasom, Jr.

     Edward Bruce “Peanut” Beasom, Jr., 57, of Mifflin, passed away Friday, July 21, 2023, at his home.

     Born Nov. 4, 1965 in Lewistown, he was a son of Delores A. (Naylor) Beasom of Mifflin and the late Edward Bruce Beasom, Sr.

     In addition to his mother, he is survived by four children, Brandon L. Beasom, Kyle Beasom, Dillon Beasom, and Derrick Beasom, one sister, Yvonne Kay Beasom and fiancé, Ted McIlhenny, one brother, Jeffrey Beasom and wife, Jamie, and many aunts and uncles and their families.

     In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, William Beasom.

     He graduated from Juniata High School and was a jack of all trades, mainly as a painter and mechanic, for Baum Transportation.

     He was a member of the Mifflintown American Legion and he loved working on cars.

     His memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 28, at Trinity United Methodist Church, Mifflin, with Pastor Steve Cowfer officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in New Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal. There will be no viewing.

     Memorial contributions may be made to a charity that supports animals.
