Dorothy A. (Hile) Swartz

     Dorothy A. Swartz, 85, of Mifflintown, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2020, at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.

     Born Dec. 19, 1934, in Mt. Pleasant Mills, she was a daughter of the late Phenie and Beulah (Kratzer) Hile.

     She is survived by three children, Martin O. Swartz, Jr. and wife, Melissa, of Mifflin, Carol Stephens of Blairsville, and Donald Swartz of Delaware, one brother, James Hile, of Mt. Pleasant Mills, eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

     She was preceded in death by one son, Ronnie Swartz, one daughter, Rebecca Jones, and three brothers, Lester, Marlin and Warren Hile.

   She had been a seamstress who worked in a local sewing factory.

     Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, putting puzzles together, and doing puzzle books.

     Her memorial service will be held at a future time.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105.
