Donna J. (Yoder) Barton

     Donna J. Barton, 77, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2025 at her home outside of Port Royal.

     Born Dec. 13, 1947 in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Raymond P and Mary Pearl (Moyer) Yoder. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James R. Barton as well as one brother, John Yoder.

     She is survived by three children, Debra Foltz and husband, Boyd, Robert Barton and wife, Angi, and Raymond Barton and wife, Tammy, all of Port Royal, six grandchildren, Rachel Long and husband, Tyler, Nathan Foltz, Theron Barton and wife, Zoe, Kali Foltz, Kyle Barton, and Charles Barton, one great-grandson, Colt Barton and Stacey Myers and wife, Billie, whom she treated as her son.

     Donna worked as a seamstress in local sewing factories, at Barton’s Meats, as a CNA at the former Ohesson Manor, Lewistown, and as a private caregiver.

     She attended Heaven Bound Church and enjoyed square dancing, hunting, knitting, sewing, listening to bluegrass music, helping with the homeless at Bethesda Mission and going on mission trips. She loved her family and friends and treasured the times she spent with them.

     A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sat., March 15 at Heaven Bound Church, 25 S. Ridge Rd, Mifflintown, with Pastor Casey Hostler officiating.
