Dixie L. Dressler, 74, of Mifflin, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born Sept. 26, 1946 in Mifflin, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Thelma (Clark) Swab.
She is survived by her husband, William C. “Bill” Dressler, whom she married June 18, 1966, three children and their families, Tasha A. Shoop and her son, Kyle Shoop, Heather Y. Rossman and her husband, Raymond, and children, Cole Walters, Carli Walters, and Drew Rossman, and Chad H. Dressler and wife, Kristina, and children, Nicolas Dressler, Ty Dressler, Brody Noerr, and Emersyn Dressler, three siblings, Clark Swab, Deanna Cisney and husband, Ronald, and Richard Swab and wife, Janice, as well as three great-grandchildren, Dax, Kase, and Kimber.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Doreen Coder, and a daughter-in-law, Sarah Dressler.
She graduated from Juniata Joint High School in 1966 and was a member of Matamoras United Methodist Church.
Dixie was a homemaker who loved her family very much. Being with her grandchildren was one of her greatest joys.
Over the years, she had various part-time jobs that she enjoyed, including being part of the cleaning crew at Dressler’s Barber Shop.
Her funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 7, 2021, at Port Royal United Methodist Church, with Pastor Jennifer Heikes officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery.
There will be a visitation where the family will receive friends from 1:30 until the time of the service Sunday at the church.
