David W. Snyder

     David W. Snyder, 80, of Port Royal, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2020, at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.

     He was born Aug. 7, 1940, in the Lewistown area.

     He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Gayle (Hammaker) Snyder, whom he married Oct. 7, 1961, in Elkton, Md., and one sister, Millie S. Depew of Mifflintown.

     He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Albert and Helen Louise (Anderson) Snyder and two sisters, Vera Wachtman and Lois Greenawalt.

     He graduated from William Penn High School in Harrisburg and was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving from July 1958 to July 1961.

     He drove truck for Roadway, last working as a jockey driver.

     Per David’s request, there will be no services.
