Carol Lee (Cunningham) Arnold

     Carol L. Arnold, 79, of McAlisterville, passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 22, 2021, at her home.

     Born July 9, 1941 in Lewistown, she was the only child of the late James M. and Audrey M. (Sieber) Cunningham.

      She is survived by her husband of 57 years, James L. “Jim” Arnold, whom she married June 15, 1963, one son, George W. Arnold and wife, Caryn, of Lombard, Illinois, one daughter, Khristine Garcia and husband, Juan, of Mechanicsburg, seven grandchildren, Alyssa Arnold, Breanna Mathews and husband, Zach, Kaylee Arnold, Mason Arnold, Adrian Garcia, Elena Garcia, and Anna Garcia, and one great-grandson, Asher Mathews.

     Carol graduated from East Juniata High School in 1959 and from the Polyclinic Hospital School of Nursing in 1962. She was a registered nurse, working from 1977 to 1994 providing care in nursing homes.

     As a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, McAlisterville, she was the church pianist and organist, a teacher for vacation bible school, and served on the Board of Trustees for many years.

     She was a member of the Polyclinic Alumni Association

     She enjoyed playing the piano, knitting, cooking, baking, sewing, and reading.

     Her greatest pleasures came from her loving husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandson.

     Her service will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in St. John’s United Methodist Cemetery.
