Candace R. “Candy” Bond, 56, formerly of Port Royal, passed away Sunday, Jan 26, 2025, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born Oct. 2, 1968, in Harrisburg, she is a daughter of Linda K. (Leonard) Smith of Port Royal and the late Ronald F. Smith.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by one son, Jordan Bond and fiancé, Danelle Tassa, of Lewistown, one grandson, Atreus Franklin Bond, one sister, Sherry Bowersox and husband, Mike, of Port Royal, one brother, Ronald S. Smith of McAlisterville, nine nieces and nephews and ten great-nieces and great-nephews.
Candy graduated from East Juniata High School in 1986.
She worked for Skills, Supportive Concepts and provided private in-home care for people.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mifflintown and most recently a member of the Mifflintown Seventh Day Adventist Church.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, crafting, and scrapbooking. Candy had a loving heart and will be so missed by her family and friends.
Her service will be private with Pastor Sean McGill officiating. Interment will be in Adams Cemetery, Mifflintown. There will be no viewing.
