C. David Dysinger, 70, of Mifflin, passed away Monday, March 9, 2026, at his home.
Born March 1, 1956, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Ray M. “Bud” and Helen (Hower) Dysinger.
He is survived by three sons, Mitchell Dysinger and wife, Katie, Cole Dysinger, and Alex Dysinger and wife, Heather, seven grandchildren, Lawrence, Anna, Grant, Emily, Noble, Schuyler, and Josie, one sister, Nancy Quigley, and one brother, Blair “Butch” Dysinger and wife, Ronda.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Younger Dysinger.
Dave graduated from Juniata High School in 1974 and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from Penn State University.
He worked at the family-owned butcher shop, Dysinger Meats, taught Vo-Ag at the high school and then became the custodian at Tuscarora Valley Elementary School.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, tinkering with old cars and trucks and going to the Carlisle car show with friends. But the most important thing to him was his family.
There will a Celebration of Life in the near future. Those details will be announced when the planning is complete.
