Bruce Francis Garner, Sr.

     Bruce “Choppers” Francis Garner Sr., 78, of Mifflintown, unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.

     Born March 28, 1948 in Lancaster, he was a son of the late Edward Earl and Frances K (Fogie) Garner.

     Choppers was a retired truck driver who worked for Zimmerman Truck Lines and Class 1 Transport.

     He enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing electronic games, especially solitaire, and watching TV. He loved his dog, Betsy, and spending time with his family and he was always tormenting people.

     He is survived by four children, Toni L. Bair and husband, Scott, Bruce F. Garner, Jr. and significant other, Tina Baum, John “Bones” Garner and significant other, Jennifer Lauver, and Timothy E. Garner, twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. He is also survived by three brothers, George Garner, Terry Garner, and Lenny Garner, and one sister, Daun Creater.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Robin Su Garner, an infant daughter, and five siblings.

     He is being cremated and a celebration of life will be held in the near future.
