Brenda Kay Beward, 73, of Port Royal, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Locust Grove Retirement Village, Mifflin.
Born April 3, 1948 in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Bradford Junior Beward Sr. and Margaret Irene (Hostler) Beward.
She is survived by five siblings, Suzanne M. Woodward and husband, Franklin, of McAlisterville, Mary A. Kahley and husband, Carl, of Cocolamus, Belinda M. Weimer of Clarksville, Tenn., Robert D. Beward of Mifflin and Bill Beward and wife, Brenda J., of Mifflintown and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Bradford J. “Bucky” Beward, Jr. and an infant twin sister, Linda Lou Beward.
Brenda graduated from Juniata High School in 1966.
She worked at Empire Kosher and was a personal care giver.
She enjoyed reading, working outside in her flower beds, and shopping and she loved her family and her cat, Precious.
Her memorial service will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Academia Cemetery.
