Blaine Hardy

     Blaine Hardy, 82, of Honey Grove, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019, at AristaCare at Woodland Park, Orbisonia.

     He was born Jan. 21, 1937, in Mapleton Depot.

     He is survived by his wife, Anna M. (Slagle) Hutchinson Hardy, three children, Blaine Hardy Jr. and wife, Jill, Clair Hardy and wife, Cindy, and Josephine Hummer and husband, Larry, one sister, Violet Wertz, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

     He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Myrtle (Kelly) Hardy, one son, Randall Hardy, three brothers and two sisters.

     He was a sawmiller in the lumber industry.

     Blaine loved music, playing his harmonica, guitar and mandolin and singing gospel music.

     His funeral will be at 11 am. Monday, Dec. 23, at Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third Street, Mifflintown, with Pastor Caleb Burd officiating. Interment will be at McCulloch’s Mills Cemetery.

     There will be a viewing on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the services at the funeral home.
