Betty Fegley Obituary

     Be

Betty M. Fegley, 87, formerly of the Mifflintown area, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, April 29, 2022 surrounded by family at their home in Boiling Springs.

Born Sept. 7, 1934, in Fayette Township, Juniata Co., she was a daughter of the late Guy W. and Sara E. (Thompson) Yorks. Her husband, William L. Fegley, whom she married on March 28, 1954, passed away on Jan. 11, 2015.

She is survived by one daughter, Deborah Fitzpatrick and husband, Robert, three grandchildren, Toby Stoner and wife, Melanie, Billy Stoner, and Chrissy Elicker, and three great-grandchildren, Ava Stoner, Malia Imes, and Connor Elicker.

She worked at Empire Kosher Poultry before retiring and was a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church.

Betty enjoyed fishing with her husband, gardening, and listening to country music bands, but her joy in life came from her family and doting on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third Street, Mifflintown.

Interment of Betty and her husband, Bill, will be in Hillside Cemetery, McAlisterville, immediately following the memorial service.

The family will provide all flowers. Contributions may be made in Betty’s memory to Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110 or Rosa's Team, 52 Creek Bank Drive, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050.
