Betty E. Arnold, 94, of Arch Rock, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at Brookline Manor, Mifflintown.
Born Nov. 15, 1926 in Locust Run, she was a daughter of the late J. Domer and Dorothy (Martin) Swartz. Her husband, Ray A. “Jum” Arnold, whom she married Dec. 3, 1945, died on Aug. 26, 2013.
She is survived by her son, Dennis R. Arnold and wife, Linda, of Altoona, one sister, Connie Zeplin of York, two brothers, Martin Swartz of Delaware and Jerry Swartz of Reading, and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Christy Snyder, five brothers, Frankie, Russell, William, Banks, and Chester Swartz, and three sisters, Anna M. Zook, Arlene Barner, and Dorothy Mae Wileman.
Betty was a seamstress at Arrow Shirt Factory in Lewistown for many years.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Mifflin and enjoyed attending the Four Seasons Senior Citizens Center in Mifflintown.
Her hobbies included knitting, doing crossword puzzles, and reading.
Following her wishes, there will be no service.
The family requests that anyone who desires send a contribution in Betty’s name to the Four Seasons Senior Community Center, 47 CJEMS Lane, Mifflintown, PA 17059.
