Anna Mae Peoples, 89, of Mifflintown, passed away Thursday, Dec. 15, 2022 at Hershey Medical Center.
She was born July 8, 1933, in McAlisterville.
She is survived by one son, Kevin Peoples of Mifflintown and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. William “Bill” Peoples, on June 16, 1995, her parents, Harry and Ida Jane (Varner) Dunn, Sr., and one brother, Harry “Sonny” Dunn, Jr.
Anna Mae graduated from Fayette High School in 1951 and worked at the Juniata Valley Bank in various positions for over 50 years.
She was a member of Lost Creek Presbyterian Church where she was active in many of the church groups. She was also a member of the Friends of the Juniata County Library.
She enjoyed shopping, crocheting, and visiting with her family and friends.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 20, at Lost Creek Presbyterian Church, 517 Main Street, McAlisterville, PA with Rev. Graham Fowler officiating. Interment will be in Lost Creek Presbyterian Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
