Alice N. (Nace) McClure

     Alice N. McClure, 91, of Mifflintown, passed away Thursday, Nov. 21, 2024, at Brookline Manor.

     She was born Jan. 30, 1933 in Licking Creek Valley.

     She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Alfred A. “Al” McClure on Aug. 23, 2020, her parents, Boyd and Bertha (Powley) Nace, one granddaughter, Allison Garver, one daughter-in-law Susan McClure, and one sister, Nancy Robinson.

     She is survived by three children, Kay Eyler and husband, Ken, Richard, “Rick” McClure, and Deb Pecht and companion, Scott Richardson, all of Mifflintown, one brother, Dennis “Doc” Nace of Mifflintown, four grandchildren, Brian Eyler and wife, Vicky, Brianne Kerlin and husband, Kerry, Jennifer Brouse and husband, Jason, and Matthew Guyer and wife, Jessica, one grandson-in-law, TJ Garver, and eight great-grandchildren, Lando and Geno Kerlin, Paige and Callie Brouse, Alanna Guyer, Tino Pariso, and Colten and Mallory Garver.

     Alice and her husband owned and operated McClure’s Fruit Farm, outside of Mifflintown, for 28 years.

     She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Mifflintown.

      She enjoyed quilting and Alice and her husband wintered in Hobe Sound, Fla., from 1983 until 2015.

     A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family with Rev. Sam Leister officiating. Interment will be in Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown. There will be no viewing.
