Albert Roscoe “Son” Leach, 90, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2020, at his home.
Born Dec. 11, 1929, in Thompsontown, he was a son of the late Marvin R. and Alberta (Nelson) Leach. His wife, Verna (Whistler) Leach, whom he married Dec. 24, 1947, passed away on Jan. 22, 2010.
He is survived by four children, Larry Leach and wife, Charlotte, of Mifflintown, Linda Frymoyer of Thompsontown, Connie Snyder and husband, Stephen, of Mifflintown, and Deborah Lauver and husband, Dave, of McAlisterville, his loving companion, Janet Heath of Thompsontown, three sisters, Arlene Weiand of Thompsontown, Betty Jean Swartz and husband, Jim, of Port Royal, and Nancy Shadel and husband, Wayne, of Thompsontown, nine grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ken Leach and Harold Leach, and three great-grandchildren.
He graduated from Juniata Joint High School in 1947 and was a farmer and a used car salesman.
He was a member of Centre Lutheran Church.
His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
His funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 29, at Centre Lutheran Church with Rev. Mike Sigler officiating. Interment will be in Locust Run Cemetery.
There will be a viewing on Saturday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the services.
