Barbra J. Vaughn, 70, of Richfield, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA

     She was born Oct. 27, 1948, in Lewistown.

     She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Long, Sr. and her mother, Hazel (Teeters) Grening. Her husband, Roy R. Vaughn, Sr., whom she married Aug. 23, 1986, died on April 24, 2007.

     She is survived by four children, Danette McGowan and husband, Scott, of Richfield, Amy Murphy of Mifflintown, Pam Rice and husband, Chris, of Middleburg, and Dwayne Murphy and wife, Lisa, of Palmyra; four step-children, Donna Kay Haworth, Ernestine Gearhart, Roy Vaughn, Jr., and Terry Vaughn; two sisters, Linda Price and husband, Tim, and Deb Rager and husband, Gene; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one expected great-grandchild, and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

     She worked as a CNA at Brookline Manor, Mifflintown.

     She enjoyed camping, canning, crafting, quilting, sewing, and especially spending time with her family.

     At her request, her memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.

     In lieu of flowers, those who desire may make a contribution for her final expenses and send it to Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, PA 17059.
