Charlie was a good guy. He even made me come to good sense and become a pirates fan. My cousins and the rushes lived in the same neighborhood in Mifflintown. We had a lot of fun playing sports in the backyard. Charlie was always very nice and included me in everything. He was a good friend, father, husband and and even better person. REST IN PEACE BIG CHUCK

Please accept my sympathies at the loss of Chuck Rush. Chuck was our backyard neighbor and I remember him well. He was always laughing and very happy and just rejoiced in his son, Evan. They are together now. May God welcome Chuck with open arms, and may He comfort your family with wonderful memories.

Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. Chuck was a good friend. We would spend hours together metal detecting and poking around at Camp Michaux near his home and he always welcomed me to stay the weekend. We had great times and I grieve his passing with you. My grief is tempered by the knowledge of his faith in our Lord and knowing that he is home in Heaven.

It is with great sorrow that I find now, after knowing of the blast battle that Chuck is passed on.....he will be sorely missed.
Around 1995 Chuck and Jean (former spouse) moved in as neighbors in Mechanicsburg. We saw each other daily for many years as his son Evan would pass by on the way to the school bus, carrying either a backpack or including a band instrument. We enjoyed each fundraiser as Evan would bring his order form along, and we'd help out. As the years went by we saw him grow up and they moved to a different neighborhood. Many times I'd be enjoying my hobby of metal detecting in the ball park next to Charles' home, and he'd occasionally ask how it was going. He eventually bought a metal detector of his own, and we started exploring history with each other as we researched in our own ways, sometimes sharing sites and info along the way. The times Charles and I spent out in the woods and fields will always be remembered, and in spirit he'll always be there with me......
