I got to know Sam when I joined the Marine Corps League many years. He was a good friend and wonderful person. My wife Charlene (Yeager) knew Sam from their years at Juniata Joint High School. We also have many good memories of Sam and Joy when we would join them at the annual Marine Corps Balls every November.
Our sympathy to the family and know that we are keeping them in our prayers.

I've know Sam since I was 10 Years old. He, my brother Irvin, and 6 others
from the class of 1958 joined the Marine Corps after graduation. He was
a terrific person and did much for the Marine Corps League. He will be sorely missed by all.
