     Blaine Hardy, 82, of Honey Grove, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019, at AristaCare at Woodland Park, Orbisonia.

     He was born Jan. 21, 1937, in Mapleton Depot.

     He is survived by his wife, Anna M. (Slagle) Hutchinson Hardy, three children, Blaine Hardy Jr. and wife, Jill, Clair Hardy and wife, Cindy, and Josephine Hummer and husband, Larry, one sister, Violet Wertz, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

     He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Myrtle (Kelly) Hardy, one son, Randall Hardy, three brothers and two sisters.

     He was a sawmiller in the lumber industry.

     Blaine loved music, playing his harmonica, guitar and mandolin and singing gospel music.

     His funeral will be at 11 am. Monday, Dec. 23, at Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third Street, Mifflintown, with Pastor Caleb Burd officiating. Interment will be at McCulloch’s Mills Cemetery.

     There will be a viewing on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the services at the funeral home.

     In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Guss Funeral Home, 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, Pa 17059 to help with funeral expenses.

Anna , We are so sorry to hear about Blaine passing . You are in our thoughts . We are so glad that we got to hear Blaine play his harmonica and all his other music . It was good to see you and him sing together . We enjoyed the time spent at Milford Grange . We will not forget the times together . May you find peace in knowing that your friends are with you .
