     Shirley Jane "Shirl" Spade, age 62, of Thompsontown, passed away to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at her home.

     Born April 22, 1957, in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of Bertha (Klase) Mangle of Brookline Manor, Mifflintown and the late John W. Mangle.

     She is also survived by her husband, Randall "Randy" Spade, whom she married June 28, 1975; one son, Matt Spade and his girlfriend, Casin Shunk, of Thompsontown, and one brother, Robert "Bob" Mangle and wife, Aida, of Friendswood, Texas.

     In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters, John W. Mangle, Jr.,Timothy Charles Mangle, Bonnie Lou Faltine, and Carol Jean Mangle.

     Shirl graduated from East Juniata High School and received her cosmetology license.

     She loved her family. She was always taking care of people, whether as a homemaker or caregiver for others.

     She was a long-time member of Millerstown Moose and she enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

     A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 22 at Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, with Rev. Terry Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Goodwill Cemetery, Bunkertown.

     There will be a viewing from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the services Saturday at the funeral home.

     In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a contribution to an organization that benefits animals.

Uncle Randy and Cousin Matt,
