     Mildred A. "Mid" Leonard, 86, formerly of Mexico, entered into her Savior's arms on Thursday, May 30, 2019, at Locust Grove Retirement Village, Mifflin.

     Born Sept. 21, 1932, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Thurman and Geraldine (Jacobs) Walters.

     She is survived by three sons, Scott R. Leonard of Port Royal, Kirby A. Leonard and wife, Darlene, of Thompsontown, and  Kelby A. Leonard and wife, Michele, of Thompsontown; one daughter-in-law, Susan Leonard of Port Royal; one brother, Barry Walters of Reedsville; seven grandchildren, Casey and wife, Rebecca, Ryan and wife, Ashley, Dillon, Grant, Valerie, Bryce and Skylar, and five great-grandchildren, Natasha, Alexandria, Gladrielle, Kayci, and Carlene.

     Her husband, Norman B. Leonard, whom she married Nov. 12, 1949, passed away on Feb. 1, 1994. She was also preceded in death by one son, N. Jeffrey Leonard, two brothers, Robert Walters and Russell "Buck" Walters, and two sisters, Mary Bargo and Judith Murphy.

     Mid was a homemaker and a stay-at-home mom. After her husband died, she worked one day a week at Leonard Insurance Agency.

     She was a member of Mexico Grace United Methodist Church. She enjoyed bowling and playing cards at card club.

     Her funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 4, at Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, with Pastor Dan Kerlin officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Mifflintown.

     Although there will be no public viewing, there will be a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mexico Grace United Methodist Church, c/o Rob Brenneman, Treas., 1508 William Penn Highway, Mifflintown, PA 17059.
