     Forest Neil Zeiders, Sr., 83, of Denholm, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018, at his home.

     Born March 6, 1934, in Milford Township, Juniata Co., he was a son of the late Lloyd C. and Bardella (Beaston) Zeiders, Sr.

     He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Winona Lee (Beers) Zeiders, whom he married Oct. 27, 1955; three children, Kimberly Welshonse and fiancé, Tony Guide, of Mifflintown, Forest N. Zeiders, Jr. and wife, Eleanora, of Lewistown, and Jeffrey W. Zeiders of Mifflintown; four brothers, Melvin Zeiders and wife, Shirley, Richard Zeiders, Karl Zeiders and wife, Dorothy, and Dale Zeiders and wife, Becky; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

     He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister, Robert M. Zeiders, Marie Geedey, and Lloyd C. Zeiders, Jr.; a stillborn brother, and one son-in-law, Scott Welshonse.

     He worked at Viscose for 20 years and then as a brakeman for Conrail and Norfolk-Southern from 1972 until he retired in 1999.

     HIs hobbies included bowling, hunting, keeping bees and trout fishing and he helped stock local streams with trout. He enjoyed being with his family and he and his wife spent a lot of time together and did many things.

     His service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3, at Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, with Pastor Stephanie Rupert officiating. Interment will be in St. Stephen's Lutheran Cemetery, Licking Creek Valley.

     The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the services Saturday at the funeral home.

     Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1375 Martin St., Ste. 206, State College, PA 16803.

I remember Uncle Neil as the gentle giant of the family. I'm so sorry, Aunt Winnie, Kim, Jr & Jeff as well as the grandchildren for your loss, knowing you will all miss him dearly but also thankful that he suffers no longer. God Bless you all and may God give you comfort.

Kim, Sorry to learn of your loss. I will be out of town tomorrow Morning and cannot stop at
visitation. Trust you can find comfort in Memories of your father and knowing is resting in peace. I know you have had a long care on your hands.
