Mrs. Wirt or Granma Wirt as she was known to me was such an inspiring woman!! I had the chance to know her when she lived in the big white house on the hill! I mowed her grass for a number of years and did some gardening, ect... She was the most pleasant person to be around! I loved when she would make me hot chocolate and we would sit at the kitchen table and she would tell me stories of the past and of her travels! Every year since she always remembered to send me a birthday card! Those cards I hold close to my heart! We all know that she is with "Red" now and that she is living in the glory of God! May she rest in peace! My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Wirt Family during this difficult time. May God Bless You All!

Love

Dear Lois Ann, Gerri Kay and Steve,
As members of Center Lutheran Church and the community our families became very good friends. I have fond memories of our families going on group picnics after church on Sunday. Each family bringing delicious food to share and then playing on the playground of the park. My sister and I would come to Pleasant View to spend a couple of days in the summer and then I know you would come to our home as well. Over the years, after we all had moved on and our Fathers had passed away, Betty and our Mother, Tene, remained close friends until we lost Mother. I still remember Betty coming to sit with her during her last days, reading the Bible together.

I want to express my sincere sympathy to each of you on the loss of your Mother. Betty was a wonderful, kind and sincere person. She will be greatly missed but remembered by so many. Sally McCormick Brinker
