 Jerry W. "Keppy" Kepler, 75, of Thompsontown, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2017.

     He was born Feb. 7, 1942.

     He is survived by his wife, Pat (Hosler) Kepler, five children, Cathy Daugherty of Hummelstown, G. Scott Kepler and wife, Renee, of Mechanicsburg, Danny S. Kepler of Newport, NC, Michelle Walton and husband, Tom, of Thompsontown, and Tracy Bowersox, and husband, Robert, of Port Royal, one brother, Clair A. Kepler, Jr. and wife, Marcella, of Huntsville, Ala., seven grandchildren, Angie Smith, Nicole Weiger, Cody Walton, Kelsey Walton, Robert Bowersox, Curtis Bowersox, and Kimberly Bowersox, three great-grandchildren, Evan Weiger, Katie Weiger, and Savanna Diefenderfer, and many nieces and nephews.

     He was preceded in death by his parents, Clair and Iva (Diven) Kepler, and a sister, Carol D. Yetter.

     Jerry served in the U.S. Army and worked as an electrician out of IBEW Local #143.

     He was a life member of VFW Post 5863 and a member of the Millerstown Moose.

     He enjoyed camping and, in the past, had served as campground host at Cowans Gap. He especially loved being with his family and his grandchildren.

     On Wednesday, June 28, there will be a viewing from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. followed by a funeral service  at 8 p.m. with Rev. Mike Sigler officiating at Guss Funeral Home.

     The interment with full Military Honors by the Juniata County Veterans Council will be at the convenience of the family in Locust Run Cemetery.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, PA 17059 to help with the funeral expenses.

I am so sorry for your loss. Jerry was a kind and generous man and he will be greatly missed by all of us at Cowans Gap State Park and especially my Dad, Ronnie. I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers!! If you need anything, Pat, please do not hesitate to call me. With Love from Lisa.
