     Peggy L. Wilson, 78, of Thompsontown, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2016, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

     Born Nov. 19, 1938 in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Grace (D'Arment) Smith.

     She is survived by her husband, Martin L. "Spunk" Wilson, whom she married Nov. 15, 1955; five children, Tim Wilson and wife, Roxann, Tam and husband, Bob Speece, Teresa and husband, Bill Varsel, Scott Wilson, Norma and husband, Bill Taylor; nine grandchildren, Timmy, Chad, Shannon, Mary, Brandy, Ben, Nick, Sara, and Felicia,; nine great-grandchildren, Layla, Jasmin, Chance, Tamar, Krystiana, Brianna, Addison, Chloe, Coraline, Makeo, Serenity, and Isabella; and one sister, Roberta and husband, Melvin Warntz.

     She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Wilson and a grandson, Jason Schlegel.

     Peggy worked at the East Salem Dress Factory and then as a cashier at the Mifflintown IGA.

     She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Thompsontown and served on the Thompsontown election board.

     She enjoyed gardening, working in her flower beds, and decorating her home. Her family was very important to her and she was very protective of them. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

     Her funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 19, at Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown with Rev. Mike Sigler officiating. Interment will be in Thompsontown Lutheran Cemetery.

     There will be a viewing from 1 pm until the time of the services Friday at the funeral home.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Wilson Family, during this difficult time.

We'll miss seeing Peg, sitting in her lawn chair under the shade trees at the 4th of July Barbecues. (Not to mention, Peg always made the best beans!)

I'm so sorry to read of Peggy's passing! She was such a wonderful lady and always brightened my day at work (Weis Pharmacy) when she called or came in. I will miss taking care of her. Praying for your family during this rough time.
