     Larry B. Hostler, 64, of Mifflintown, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2016, at his home.

     Born March 26, 1952, in East Waterford, he was a son of Gladys M. (Hampton) Hostler of Mifflintown and the late Cloyd B. Hostler.

     Also surviving are his wife of 42 years, Deborah K. (Arnold) Hostler, whom he married Feb. 2, 1973; two children, Danny B. Hostler of Mifflintown and Melissa "Missy" McKee and husband, Gordon R., of McVeytown; four grandchildren, Lakata and Tyler Hostler and Ashton and Montana McKee; one sister, Janet Schroepfer and husband Richard, of Lewistown; his parents-in-law, Paul and Gretchen Arnold of Port Royal; and many nieces and nephews.

     Larry graduated from Juniata High School in 1971. During high school, he was very active in FFA and earned the Keystone Degree.

     He was a car inspector for the railroad for 38 years, working for PennCentral, Conrail, and retiring from Norfolk Southern.

     He was a Lutheran by faith.

     He enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, gardening and his animals, especially his dogs, Penny and Bow.

     His funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 10, at Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, with Pastor Donna McKee Rhodes, officiating. Interment will be in Old Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal.

     There will be a viewing from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
