     Donald R. "Don" Wert, 68, of Port Royal, passed away on Monday, May 2, 2016, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

     Born October 12, 1947 in Port Royal, he was a son of the late Jonathan M. and Helen (Leonard) Wert, Sr.

     He is survived by his wife, Cindy (Love) Wert, whom he married Aug. 3, 1967; two daughters, Tammy S. Brackbill and husband, Daniel, of Port Royal, and Lori A. Clark and husband, Curt, of Thompsontown; one sister, Nancy Taylor of Mifflintown, three brothers, Jonathan Wert and James Wert, both of Port Royal, and Charles Wert of Enola; and two granddaughters, Tirzah Hosler and Autumn Clark.

     He was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Paige and one brother, David Wert.

     Don worked as a mechanic at Regester Chevrolet, Thompsontown, for more than 46 years.

     He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping, and was able to fix and build anything. He loved spending time with his family, especially with his granddaughters.

     His funeral service will be private and held at the convenience of the family with interment in New Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal. There will be no viewing.

     The family will provide all flowers and asks that memorial contributions be given to the American Cancer Society, 1375 Martin St., Ste. 206, State College, PA 16803 or the American Heart Association, 1019 Mumma Rd, Wormleysburg, PA 17043.

     Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, has care of the arrangements.
