Allison McClure Garver, 37, of Mifflintown, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at her home.

Born Oct. 26, 1978, she is the daughter of Richard A. "Rick" McClure of Mifflintown and the late Susan (Zook) McClure.

Also surviving are her husband, TJ Garver, whom she married June 11, 2002, two children, Mallory and Colten, both at home, one sister, Jennifer Brouse and husband, Jason, of Duncannon, her paternal grandparents, Al and Alice McClure of Mifflintown, and a special aunt and uncle, Gary and Wendy Swartz of Mifflintown.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Doran and Naomi "Sparkie" Zook.

Allison graduated from Juniata High School and Penn State Hazleton. She worked as a caseworker at the Juniata County Assistance Office until this past June.

She attended Brown's United Methodist Church.

She was an avid runner and played indoor field hockey. She loved all animals and going to the beach.  But the most important thing in her life was her family and her children, and she attended all their sporting events and helped with their school activities.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 31, at Browns United Methodist Church, 33762 Rt. 35 N, McAlisterville, with Pastor Candace Arnold officiating.  There will be no viewing.

Rick, TJ, and family. Words cannot express the sorrow I feel over the loss of your daughter, wife, mother and friend. Although I only knew Allison from seeing her at her children's functions I always thought how cheerful upbeat and strong she seemed during her illness. I hope that all in the family will remember her good times once the sadness eases off. May God bless all of you always but especially during these sad times.
