     Glen L. Zimmerman, 79, of Licking Creek Valley, Mifflintown, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at Lewistown Hospital.

     Born Oct. 22, 1936 in Milford Township, Juniata Co., he was a son of the late Earl and Mae (Dunn) Zimmerman.

     He is survived by three children, Barry Zimmerman and wife, Judy, of Mifflintown, Tami Saner and husband, Roger, of Thompsontown, and Leon Zimmerman and wife, Kate, of Port Royal; eight grandchildren, Barry Zimmerman, Jr., Adam Saner, Tonya Kepner, Danielle Bailey, Kara Bellis, Riley Zimmerman, Lexie Zimmerman and Bayanna Zimmerman; eight great-grandchildren; his companion, Jeanne Leister of Mifflin; and two sisters, Madilene "Sis" Henry and husband, Dale, and Coleen "Cookie" Junod and husband, Pete, all of Mifflintown.

     He was preceded in death by three siblings, Esther Brackbill, Marlin Zimmerman, and Arthur Zimmerman.

     Glen retired as a road supervisor from Penn Dot.

     He was a member of the VFW in Mifflintown.

     He enjoyed hunting and driving around in his car, where he was always very careful not to exceed the speed limit.

     There will be a viewing from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 22, at Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown. His graveside memorial service and interment in St. Stephen’s Lutheran Cemetery, Licking Creek Valley, will be at the convenience of the family.

     In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those who desire send a memorial contribution to VFW Crawford Brubaker Post 5863, 24 S. Main St., Mifflintown, PA 17059 or the American Cancer Society, 1375 Martin St., Ste. 206, State College, PA 16803.

Sorry to hear about Glen, our thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Glen was a good friend and fellow student at JJHS Class of 55. RIP my friend.
