     Donald L. "Donnie" Reeder, 68, of Port Royal, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015, at his home.

     Born August 24, 1947 in Blairs Mills, he was a son of the late Barton and Hazel Reeder.  His wife, Pamela L. Reeder, died March 26, 2015.

     He is survived by one step-daughter, Melissa K. "Missy" and husband, Martin "Junior" Swartz, of Mifflin, one step-son, Kevin E. Burkholder and companion, Keitha Bowersox, of Honey Grove, two sisters, Lois O'Donnell of Spring Run and Sara Rhine of Ohio, and four step-grandchildren.

     He was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.

     Donnie retired from construction where he was a heavy equipment operator.

     He was a member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion in Mifflintown, the Millerstown Moose, and the Juniata River Assoc.

     He played the banjo and guitar and enjoyed hunting, watching birds and animals outside his home, and being with friends and family.

     His funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17, at Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, with Pastor Judy Rowles officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Blairs Mills.

     There will be a viewing on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the services at the funeral home.
