     Lee A. Zeiders, 81, of Mifflintown, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

     Born Jan. 18, 1934 in Denholm, he was a son of the late Earl C. and Nellie (Moore) Zeiders, Sr. His wife, Mildred L. (Kahley) Zeiders, whom he married May 25, 1963, passed away on March 24, 2004.

     He is survived by one daughter, Darlene Hildebrand and husband, Barry, of McAlisterville, three sons, Steve Huffman, Ron Huffman, and Lee Steven Zeiders, one son-in-law, Steve Shearer, one brother, Earl Zeiders, Jr., four grandchildren, Wendy Vitello and husband, Vince, Joshua Hildebrand and wife, Danielle, Andrew Shearer and wife, Nikki, and Tony Shearer and fiancé, Laura Sheets, six grandchildren, and his good friend, Shirley Houtz.

     In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimbra D. Shearer on March 13, 2014, one sister, Rhoda Courter, and one brother, Jim Zeiders.

     He was a veteran of the United States Army.

     Lee was a truck driver, first driving for Bryer's Trucking and retiring from Juniata Concrete.

     He faithfully attended First Baptist Church, Mifflintown.

     He enjoyed fishing, hunting, putting puzzles together, doing seek and finds, and playing solitaire. His Pomeranian, Buttons, was always by his side.

     He donated his body to science, as did his wife when she died, for the advancement of medical education and research.

     There will be a memorial service at 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, at First Baptist Church, 23964 Rt 35 N, Mifflintown, with Pastor Ron Shupe and Pastor Phil Persing officiating. There will be no viewing.

     In lieu of flowers, those who desire may make memorial contributions to Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third Street, Mifflintown, to help defray the final expenses.
