    Vivian Jane Adams, 93, of McAlisterville, formerly of Lancaster County, died Thursday, April 30, 2015, at Locust Grove Retirement Village.

     Born September 1, 1921, in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy Smith Stauffer and Serafino DeRocco. Her husband of 63 years, Willard C. "Bill" Adams, whom she married on December 21, 1940, died on July 31, 2004.

     She is survived by four children, Bonnie Adams Becker and husband, Richard, of McAlisterville, W. Craig Adams and wife, Teresa, of Wrightsville, Lois J. Smith and husband, Robert Mader, of Mifflintown, and Brian C. Adams and wife, Cathy, of York; one brother, John "Jack" Stauffer and wife, Mauricette, of Lititz, 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

     She was preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Lester Brosey and W. John Smith, six brothers, and one sister.

     Jane's home and family were very important to her and she tried always to serve her Lord, please her husband, and take care of the children that God had given to them.

     Throughout her life, she was very active in community and church service projects. She belonged to a church wherever she lived and was currently a member of First Baptist Church, Mifflintown, where she had a card ministry as her special project. After her husband died, she volunteered at Brookline Manor.

     All her services will be held on Tuesday, May 5. There will be a viewing at First Baptist Church, 23964 Rt 35, Mifflintown, beginning at 10 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ronald Shupe and Pastor Phil Persing officiating. A graveside service and interment will be at 2:30 p.m. at Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens, 845 Laurel Hill Road, Columbia, Pa.

     In lieu of flowers, those who desire are asked to make memorial contributions to Child Evangelism, 55 Howell Dr., Mifflintown, PA 17059 or Friends of Israel, PO Box 908, Bellmawr, NJ 08099.
