Wendy K. (Swailes) Hosler, 59, of Thompsontown (Centre), died Sunday, January 25, 2015, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
She was born January 19, 1956 in Chambersburg.
She is survived by her husband, Timothy E. Hosler, whom she married May 11, 2007; two sons, Larry E. "Hoss" Wileman, Jr. of Thompsontown and Kevin W. Wileman and wife, Holly, of Mifflintown; three step-daughters, Carissa Colepetzer of Honey Grove, and Kati Hosler and Rebecca Hosler, both of Port Royal; two sisters, Carole A. Swailes of Honey Grove and Judy P. Zimmerman and husband, Barry, of Mexico; one brother Harry "Jim" Watts and wife, Arlene, of Mexico; one grandson and three step-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence "Barney" Swailes; her mother, Hope E. (Geedey) Swailes Watts; her step-father, Harry E. Watts; and one sister, Bonnie Jean Hall.
She had worked as a nursing assistant at Locust Grove Retirement Village and at Brookline Manor.
She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Mifflintown.
She loved animals and rescued as many as she could.
Her memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 31, at Kingdom Hall on the corner of Rt. 35 and Ridge Road, Mifflintown with Mr. Jay Whistler, II, officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Although there will be no viewing, the family will receive friends from noon until the time of the services on Saturday at Kingdom Hall.
