Dear Children,
I want to express my sympathy for the loss of your mom. Having lost someone very dear to me, my dad, to cancer I can say I truly understand your painful loss. There is something that has brought me great comfort and that is the hope held out in the Bible.
Acts 24:15 promises "there is going to be a resurrection". Jehovah God hates death and views it as an enemy for 1 Corinthians 15:26 says "and the last enemy death, is to be brought to nothing".
My favorite scripture of all is to be fulfilled very soon. It is found at Revelation 21:4 and says "and he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be any more. The former things have passed away". Imagine a time when there is nothing to make us cry, no one to mourn over and no painful ailments of any kind, and most of all on one will die for "death will be no more".
I hope this has brought you a measure of the comfort it brought me. Have you ever wondered why we die in the first place? and why we suffer? These answers can be answered from the Bible. Feel free to look online at the website JW.org or feel free to write back to me. You can read or listen to the Bible being read to you, all free of charge.
Sincerely, Mrs. Pauline Booher
